Our field techs are equipped with negative-air machines, HEPA filtration units, and borescopes for checking inside wall cavities without tearing the whole thing open unnecessarily.
WQB Mold Removal has passed inspection with Lexington, IL environmental and health authorities on remediation protocol, and we keep that documentation on file for every job.
A lot of Lexington, IL homeowners have already paid someone once for a job that didn't hold up, which is part of why we document every step with photos and lab data rather than asking you to take our word for it.
Our office staff handle scheduling and billing questions directly, so you're never stuck on hold with an answering service when you have a question about your job.
Some of the worst colonization in Lexington homes happens somewhere you'd never think to check.
If a room smells like a wet basement no matter how much you air it out, mold is the most likely culprit. Our technicians can often narrow down the general location just from where the odor is strongest before ever opening a wall.
Any Lexington property with a prior roof leak, burst pipe, or flooding event is at higher risk if the drying wasn't done professionally. If a previous restoration job skipped moisture readings before closing the walls back up, hidden growth can sit undetected for months.
Children and older family members often show symptoms first, since they're more sensitive to airborne spores. A pattern of symptoms tied to one specific room in the house is often the strongest clue of all.
Discoloration around an HVAC vent frequently means moisture is condensing inside the ductwork itself. Don't assume a small visible patch means a small problem — the portion behind the drywall is often much larger.
From a single bathroom to a flooded crawl space, our Lexington crews scale the response to match the actual problem.
Our emergency teams arrive with containment barriers and air scrubbers ready to deploy the moment they walk in. We also photograph the damage extensively on arrival, which helps considerably if you end up filing an insurance claim afterward.
Bathrooms, basements, attics, and crawl spaces each get treated with methods suited to that specific environment, not a one-size approach. Affected drywall, insulation, and carpet padding are bagged and removed according to protocol rather than just tossed loose in a truck bed.
We provide documentation packages commercial clients can hand directly to insurers or tenants. Multi-tenant properties in Lexington sometimes need coordinated notice to residents or staff, and our project leads handle that communication directly.
Air sampling and surface swabs identify exactly what species is present before we ever propose a treatment plan. A written inspection report is available for real estate transactions, refinancing, or your own peace of mind about a Lexington property.
These tight spaces require specialized equipment and technicians trained to work safely in confined areas. Encapsulation and sump correction can be bundled with the remediation itself so you're not paying for two separate visits.
Dehumidification recommendations and moisture monitoring can keep a treated space from becoming a repeat customer. A small investment in prevention is almost always cheaper than paying for the same remediation twice.
We keep the process simple enough to explain over the phone in under two minutes.
A quick phone conversation helps us bring the right equipment on the first visit instead of a second trip. Have a rough sense of when the problem started if you can — it helps us plan the visit.
This step tells us the true scope of contamination before we write a single number on a quote. We point out exactly what we're seeing as we go, not just at the end.
Negative air machines keep spores from traveling to unaffected rooms while the work is underway. We keep the work area as clean and orderly as the job allows throughout.
You'll get a written report you can keep for your records or share with an insurer. We'll also walk the space with you so nothing gets signed off without your input.
Our estimates are itemized line by line, which means you know exactly what you're paying for and why.
We keep a dedicated crew covering Lexington, IL so response times don't balloon during peak humidity season.
We hand you lab results and a written scope of work, giving you something concrete beyond our word.
Our promise is simple: if the treated area shows regrowth tied to our workmanship within the warranty period, we return and correct it free of charge.
Plenty of companies will happily bill you for remediation on a repeat basis without ever mentioning the actual leak feeding the problem, and that's simply not how we operate in Lexington, IL.
Local reputation matters more to a small Lexington-area crew than a national franchise ever has to worry about, and that keeps us honest about scope, pricing, and timelines.
If regrowth tied to our workmanship shows up within the warranty window, we come back to your Lexington property and fix it at no additional cost.

The questions we hear before nearly every job.
Most Lexington calls get a technician on-site the same day, and active emergencies are prioritized ahead of routine inspections. Weekend and holiday calls are still answered by our on-call dispatcher rather than routed to voicemail.
We quote the full scope up front after inspection, and that number doesn't change unless the scope does. If we discover additional damage once we open a wall, we'll stop and get your approval before doing any extra work or adding any cost.
Emergency dispatch is available 24/7 for situations where waiting even a day could worsen the damage. We also coordinate directly with plumbers or roofers when the source of the water needs to be stopped before drying can even begin.
Testing typically takes a few business days, and you receive a written lab report with the results. Knowing the species matters because some, like Stachybotrys, call for stricter containment protocols than common surface mildew.
Some policies cover mold tied to a sudden pipe burst but exclude long-term humidity issues, so it's worth checking your specific policy language. Our detailed photo documentation and written scope of work are formatted to make the claims process as painless as possible.
A single bathroom or small closet can often be completed in a day, while larger crawl space or whole-home jobs may take three to five days. Drying time after water extraction can add a day or two before remediation itself even starts, depending on how saturated the materials were.
For most localized jobs, containment keeps the rest of the home livable, though we may recommend staying elsewhere for extensive whole-house treatment. Pets are usually fine staying in an unaffected part of the Lexington home, but we'll flag any exceptions during the walkthrough.
We recommend keeping children and pets away from the containment zone until the area passes clearance testing. Once we complete post-remediation testing and the numbers come back clean, the space is safe to use normally again.
Every job addresses the moisture source, not just the visible growth, because treating symptoms without fixing the cause almost guarantees regrowth. If the same conditions caused a prior remediation to fail, we'll flag that risk clearly before starting the new job.
Call +1-844-578-1604 to ask about current inspection options for your Lexington address, as availability can vary by season. Inspection availability sometimes shifts during peak humidity months when call volume runs higher across Lexington, IL.
Remediation focuses on removing the active colony and correcting the moisture source so the environment no longer supports abnormal growth. What actually matters is whether your indoor levels match what's normal for outdoor air in Lexington, IL, and testing confirms that.
DIY treatment can also mask a problem temporarily, which sometimes delays proper remediation until the issue has spread further. Bleach also doesn't address whatever moisture condition allowed mold to grow in the first place, so the same spot often returns within weeks.
